FAQ

Who Can Join?

House membership is open to anyone that has achieved the fifth training or higher. This requirement is beyond our control, and mandated by Elanthian law. The clerk will not allow us to induct new members who are younger than their fifth training, no matter how close you are.

We do not restrict access by race, creed, or ethos.

We cannot, by law, accept prospective members who have been banned from membership in a house, nor can we accept members who have recently resigned or been ejected from another house until the legally mandated waiting period has expired. We will not induct prospective members who demonstrate an inability or unwillingness to abide by the house rules, or have demonstrated such in the past.

How Can You Join?

To join you need to meet the minimum requirements and participate in one of our regularly scheduled inductions.

Please visit the "News" section for upcoming changes to the induction schedule.

We meet in Town Square SE of the Landing. Induction requires that you pay a one time fee of 20,000 silver coins. This is mandated by Elanthian law, and is not negotiable. The clerk will not accept notes, and so you must carry silver coins in order to be inducted.
After the induction we conduct an optional house tour for new members.

Some tips on getting inducted

We meet in Town Square SOUTHEAST. Not by our gate, not in our house, not TSSW. If your curious as to why, read the FAQ.

We start as close to 9 PM as we can. Sometimes we start late due to events beyond our control, but don't count on it. Be on time if you want to be inducted.

We reccommend that you do not bring the money with you to Town Square SE, but rather leave it in the bank. We will go to the bank as a group in order to withdraw the money.

Don't give your money to anyone. The clerk will take it when you are inducted.

Pay attention once the ceremony starts. You will be told what to do. The time for questions is either before or after the ceremony - not during it. Once the ceremony starts, please hold your questions until the tour unless you have a problem with the induction ceremony. The officers may seem like they're just standing there, but they are probably trying to help someone in whispers, and don't need the additional distraction.

When you are told to kneel, do so. You must kneel to be inducted. Remain kneeling until the induction process is complete. If you stand back up, you will not be able to be inducted.

You don't need to join the tour afterwards if you don't want to. However, new members who do complete the tour get a complimentary house pin.

What if I can't make a regular induction?

If you can't make a regular induction, you can contact an officer and try to arrange for an induction at another time.

Usually officers are glad to help induct new members, but since officers do have other responsibilities, and since inductions require two officers, one of whom must be the chairman or co-chairman, it is not always possible to perform an induction at the drop of a hat.

You can find the current list of officers by looking on this website, or in game by reading the plaque by the house's front gate.
