Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When will my locker be moved to the house?
A: Your locker is moved into a Pauper's facility immediately after you are inducted. However, it will still be in whatever town or city it was before you were inducted. If your locker was not in Wehnimer's Landing before your induction, it will now be in the House Annex Facility for that town or city. It will still be larger and free to access, but it will not change cities because of your induction into the house.

Q: Where are these locker annexes?
A: In different places in the different towns. Check out the "Map" link for more information.

Q: Can I get my locker moved from the House Annex to the House in the Landing?
A: Yes. You must pay the moving company to move it to the Landing, with all of the normal costs and restrictions.

Q: Does the House make loans to it's members?
A: We do not make loans to our members.

Q: Can I please join, I'm almost five?
A: No. The clerk will not allow you to be inducted until you are fifth level. It is simply not possible to induct someone any sooner than this.

Q: How do I quit?
A: See the chairman or co-chairman. If all else fails, one of them will be at the regularly scheduled induction.

Q: I can't make the regularly scheduled inductions. How can I join?
A: See the page on "Joining".

Q: I would like to have a party with a lot of friends who are not members. Do I have to escort them all in?
A: No. Under certain circumstances we can "unlock" the gate and allow anyone to enter the house. We do this for open-house events, during serious invasions, and can also do this for special public occasions.

Q: Can I run a meeting in the house auditorium?
A: You can certainly use the room, but the ability to silence the room and control who can speak is limited to the house officers.

Q: Is there a map of the house?
A: Not a complete one anyway. There will be a reasonably complete one on this website soon. Check out the "Map" link.

Q: Why do you meet in Town Square SE for inductions?
A: Tradition! Long ago, before there was a park, people used to gather to cast mass defense spells in Town Square SW - right on our doorstep. In order to reduce the confusion in the area, we chose to meet in Town Square SE - a much quieter spot.
